Vented (Red & Clear)
- Protects from cold water, wind, impact, and loud noise.
- Ventilation Tubes: Keeps ventilation tube open for continuous aeration and healing.
- Scuba: Easier equalization, tested to depths of 328 ft (100 m).
- Swimming: Preserves earwax; acidic pH helps prevent swimmer’s ear.
- Surfing: Warms ear canal, slowing “surfer’s ear” growth.
Non-Vented (Pink & Blue)
- Keeps water out during bathing/swimming. Hypoallergenic Kraton® ensures a watertight seal.
- Foreign-Body Protection: Vented plugs block insects, dust, and irritants from entering the canal.
- Swimming: Preserves earwax; acidic pH helps prevent swimmer’s ear.
Tip: A muffled sound isn’t always water in the canal. Press gently on the ear to dislodge droplets over the vent.
Cleaning & Storage Instructions
- Clean with alcohol only; avoid solvents.
- Dry completely and store away from heat and sunlight.
Fitting Instructions
Fitting Doc's Proplugs (DPP) is worded for the right ear:
1 – Measure the tragus area: Use the sizing ruler to determine the approximate size of your ear's inner portion. This helps pick the correct DPP from your Fitting Set.
2 – Grasp the DPP: Hold the DPP with your right index finger tip in the cup and pinch with your right thumb at the lower curved part.
3 – Insert the DPP: The arrow top (fin) fits into the Crus Helix. Twist gently to seat the DPP snugly between the Tragus and the Antehelix. Do not force the rectangular knob into the canal.
4 – HUM test: HUM and if the sound travels toward the right ear, you have the correct size. If negative, try a smaller or larger DPP. Correct size will make sound louder on the right side.
What to do if you feel you are in between sizes? Use the largest size that feels snug to you.
